I love me some leather. No offense PETA but I really do, especially, when it comes to leather pants. I feel like this look is a staple in my wardrobe for the cooler months. I enjoyed summer but now that we are approaching the cool nights, I can't wait to step out in leather pants. I've gotten a pair a few years back and want more to add to my closet. It doesn't necessarily have to be leather, there's faux or vegan leather. If you crush on this look as well, you can purchase them at Shopbop or Revolve Clothing.

Collar Me Pretty: Embellished Collars
If there's one thing I love, it's embellishments. All kinds and sorts like, beads, sequins, glitter, jewels, studs, you name it, I love it. So if these can spice up a plain blouse especially its collar, then I want it. I just recently purchased a sleeveless blouse with a pearled collar and I've been in love ever since. I even went so far as to take a picture of it and post it on my Instagram for my followers to see. This collar trend has been going on for a little bit now and I hope that it stays around for awhile. I think this is one of those items that can spruce up any outfit. Even, detachable collars would make for great accessories.

JASON WU: NYFW SS13 Woos Me
So I've mentioned in my earlier post, Inspiration: NYFW SS13 , that I would let my readers know who I think stole the week. Well, here it is, my Jason Wu! Jason Wu, I know it'd be you that would ultimately woo me at the end of Fashion Week 2012. There were so many great collections, yet you were the apple of my eye. This collection is gorgeous and simply seductive. It swept me off my feet to say the least! After browsing at pictures from this runway show...well, ah hem, after gawking, I have decided that I need to procreate with this man. I'm just kidding, but I seriously do want a chance to go to one or a few of his shows. He is truly a fashion genius!

Simple Beauty: Beige & Cream
I didn't create this set but I do love this palette and adore this look! This is great for those days when you want to look well put together, but without too much effort. An adorable look for both, Fall and Winter. These boots are so chic and they look so comfortable. I'm not sure if they really are but given the wedged heel, I would think so. The tee also looks comfy and you can pair it with either a skirt, shorts or skinny jeans! This set is just as Emiant described it, simple beauty, where there is beauty in simplicity.

The Bling Factor: Henri Bendel
One day I was browsing online for arm candy and came across Henri Bendel. The online store had so many adorable pieces, so when I saw the store pop up in Mall of Millenia, Orlando, I was so excited. Now, I'm always so excited to go into Henri Bendel, I'm seriously like a kid in a candy store. I love 'bling' and bedazzle but I do wear it in moderation. It is mainly to enhance an outfit, while it also enhances my personality.
Henri Bendel, is especially great for those who are lovers of diamonds but don't want to spend diamond money. I love diamonds but I also love costume jewelry. The difference is, I like my jewelry to be tasteful and not glass looking. Sometimes that can look tacky and trust me I'm not going for that look. With Swarovski crystals, his jewelry avoids it.
Well, I'm sure you've seen this trend as of lately, where girls are stacking their bracelets/ bangles. I'm not Mr. T, but I do enjoy layering jewelry. Henri Bendel has a great selection of jewels and for a great cost. You can find his stores in New York, of course and other locations. If you're in the Orlando area, there's a store in Mall of Millenia. The fashionable Bendel girls are great there and it'll be their pleasure to help you!
*Disclaimer: Not all of my pieces in the picture are from Henri Bendel. This is just an idea of how to stack your fave pieces.
Fashion's Night Out: Outfit of the Night
Fashion's Night Out turns 4 this year! It's a night where retailers, editors, designers, buyers, models, fashionistas, and bloggers come together and share their passion for fashion. Mainly an evening event, to encourage consumers to shop, even during this tough economic time. As well as, showcase what's in store for the upcoming season.
So since Fall is here, I wanted to welcome it with open arms by wearing something that was fit for the season. I decided to go with a mustard blouse from Urban Outfitters, BCBG black faux leather skirt, Giuseppe Zanotti leopard calf hair booties, and a small black Gucci cross body bag. To top off my look, I wore dark wine nails and lipstick.
This will be the first time I've ever put myself at the forefront of my blog. I was a little nervous about it at first since I didn't have a professional photog, but I just wanted to share my look from that night with my readers. It was an interesting, fun night and I'm glad I was able to be there this year. I'll definitely be participating in Fashion's Night Out, again for years to come. Hopefully, next time it will be in NYC. For more pictures from that night, check out my instagram account, iHeartValeriaJo .

Oh my, my, my! That's all I have to say. Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, looks to be amazing thus far. I'm caught up saving lives here as a nurse/blogger but secretly wishing I could attend these runway shows. I can tell so far, without a doubt, I'm in love with the Spring/Summer 2013 collections. Later on I'm going to break down, specifically the collections I am most fond of. For now, I'm just enjoying the show through posted pictures from fellow fashion bloggers and attendees. What about you?

NY Fashion Week: There In Spirit
You have absolutely no idea how much I wish I was in NYC for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Well, let me put it this way, I'd sell my soul to someone who can be in my spot at work, while I'm walking the streets of NYC along with the 'tall girls' and sitting front row at the shows. Ok, maybe the back, back row but since I can't sell my soul, I decided to create an illusion of what I would wear tonight. I thought a little black lacy dress would be perfect! Sophisticated, yet, oh so sexy! I have a 'thing' for lace by the way. So this dress in black with lace is a plus. I love an elegant look, so keeping it simple is important to me, especially with a sexy dress as such. I added an embellished black clutch by YSL with Louboutin black suede pumps. To finish this look, I picked simple, sparkly jewelry to adorn my outfit. What do you think? Are you there now in NYC or wish the same?

Night Owl: Peplum & Leather
Night Owl by iheartvaleriajo featuring valentino boots
Shell Peplum Top Cotton On
Juliette Super Skinny
I can honestly dedicate this set to myself, as I am a night owl and love to get dressed and go out. Anyway, with peplum and leather you can't exactly go wrong or can you? Peplum, is stylishly in and I mean in a big way! I find this structure to be flattering on most women as it defines the waist and creates a curvaceous look. For curvy women, such as myself, this can exaggerate your body shape but if you can pull it off, I say do it! Leather or faux leather, is always a must for the season. It will be coming in all sorts and in unexpected details and I can't wait. These Valentino booties and bag, is fabulously designed with studs and I am swooning all over this bag...leopard print! Oh, yeah, and don't forget the mani/pedi with Butter nail lacquer in Full Monty. Are you a night owl?
