HARRIETT’S PARK AVENUE FASHION WEEK CELEBRATES FASHION AND DESIGN IN WINTER PARK
Winter Park, Florida –Harriett’s Park Avenue Fashion Week (HPAFW), Central Florida’s most comprehensive annual fashion event, brings the experience of high-fashion to Winter Park from October 14-20, 2012. Central Park’s West Meadow is transformed into a fashion paradise featuring a 20,000-square-foot, air-conditioned tent with a full runway and lounge area modeled after New York Fashion Week’s Bryant Park.
Harriett’s Park Avenue Fashion Week, named for one of the event’s most enthusiastic supporters, Harriett Lake, kicks off its sixth season in stores on Sunday, October 14, with seven days packed with trunk shows, designer meet-and-greets, VIP parties, special sales and more. The week culminates on Saturday, October 20, with a spectacular runway show.
“The glamorous style, high fashion and talented designers make our celebration one of the premier fashion shows in the Southeast,” explains Paige Blackwelder, co-owner of Tuni and chair for the event. “You can’t get up close like this in New York.”
Harriett’s Park Avenue Fashion Week is a proud supporter of the Winter Park Women’s Health Pavilion at Winter Park Memorial Hospital and their fight against women’s cancers. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the organization.
